Guided Meditation - A Helping hand

We all know about the normal meditation techniques. We used to sit calm, crosslegged, breath deep, and start concentrating within us and slowly start meditation. A new meditation technique came in handy for me as i mostly live in noisy environment where we cant expect to sit in a peaceful room and meditate. Guided meditation is a technique where the meditator concentrates on something which originates from an outer source, for example, the most common guided meditation technique is Meditation using Music. A smooth music is played to facilitate the meditator and the meditator concentrates on the music and start meditation.

What I used to do is upload some smooth music (mostly New Age genre) into my phone and whenever i want to meditate i used to plug in my earphones and start the music, thus gaining an advantage if isolating myself from my noisy environment. Let the Music flow inside our body and mind. Let emotions change with the music we listen. Meanwhile slowly start meditation and there on follow what other techniques you want to.

I really found this technique very useful in opening my third eye all by myself with little time spent for meditation. Seriously it took me nearly six sessions of meditation (each half an hour duration) every consecutive night and finally i tasted the fruit "Opening of Third Eye"!

Note: By nature i am more inclined towards music. Music moves me and i can even change my mood by listening to selective music. I am a musician too, can play 3 musical instruments. Maybe this character of me is the success behind Music guided meditation. Other guided meditation techniques also include meditation using other's voice or chanting, etc etc etc.. Music Meditation suites me well, and you should discover what suites you well!
